April Rae Wortman

April Rae Wortman passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 in her Bellville home surrounded by her family.

She was a very loving wife, a caring mother, a fun grandma, amazing sister, one of a kind sister-in-law, super aunt, great cousin, and a very dear friend to all others!

April was born in March 3, 1956.

On July 20, 1974 she married her high school sweetheart of four years Ralph Wortman, and together they spent 42 wonderful years of marriage together. April would always say she was Ralph’s spoiled little princess.

In April’s spare time, she took pleasure in loving on her children and grandchildren. Above all, she cherished praising the Lord and life in general. She enjoyed giving what she had to other people and loved seeing everyone happy! April could walk into a dark room and make it glow! Even with her battle with lupus and severe arthritis of 30 years, April was always positive and upbeat. She was loved by many people.

She is survived by her husband Ralph Wortman, of Bellville; daughter and son-in-law Carrie and Mike Hill, of Mansfield; son and daughter-in-law Brian and Tabitha Wortman, of Bellville; eight grandchildren Nelson, Zayne, Chase, Lillian, Xavier, Aryanah, Alexis, and Nadiya; siblings Gwen Rice of Bellville, Gail Paige of Scherer, and Bill Schwartz, of Cleveland.

The Wortman family will receive friends Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 4 to 7:30 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service honoring April’s life will be held Friday at 11 am. Pastor Paul Donihue will officiate.
