Ada Muriel Bryant, 87, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 18, 2017, at her home. She was born July 3, 1930, in Corbin, Kentucky, one of seven children of the late John Frank and Rose (Doby) Clouse.

Ada learned to cook at a young age and enjoyed it very much. Cooking for her family was her favorite but she also cooked for the children at Ontario Schools for 15 years. Her hobbies included anything that involved her family from school activities to watching her children and grandchildren in their various sports.

She was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports teams and was very disappointed in the Indians recent loss in the Division Playoffs.

Ada was a long time member of Ontario United Methodist Church. She was also a member of VFW Post #7651 Ladies Auxiliary where she had many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Chester Bryant; five children, Candice Lynn Hellinger, Art (Penny) Bryant, Mike Bryant (Pam Bebout), Bruce (Shelly) Bryant and Kim (Michael) Atwell; 12 grandchildren, Nicole (Aaron) Herring, Scott (Kristin) Hellinger, Aaron Bryant (Bridget Lewellen), Stephanie (Adam) Knepper, Tiffany Bryant (Zeke Pocock), Tarah (Wayne) Guisinger, Jason (Britney) Bryant, Heath Bebout, Kali Bebout, Dustin Bryant (Ashley Miley), Brandon (Kara) Bryant, and Ryan Bryant; 12 great-grandchildren, Shelby Lott, Jayde Herring, Sierra Zobrist, C.J. Hellinger, Braedon Hellinger, Dylan Hellinger, Emma Hellinger, Jillian Cole, Kylie Pocock, Morgan Pocock, Annabel Bryant and A.J. Knepper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Trisen Douglas Crabtree; three brothers, Ed, Wallace and Joe Clouse; and two sisters, Lois Faye Elliott and Eva Gilbert.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m to noon Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Ontario United Methodist Church, 3540 Park Avenue West, Ontario.

The funeral service conducted by Rev. Peg Welch will begin at noon. She will be laid to rest in Ontario Cemetery.
