MANSFIELD – The Republican National Convention will get under way in just three days at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland and Richland Source will be on the scene, providing your exclusive local coverage of the event.
Why are we covering the Republican National Convention, even though it’s not taking place directly in our coverage area? While we at Richland Source are very focused on providing local news coverage, it’s not every day that such a major national event takes place in our own backyard. The eyes of the nation will be on Northern Ohio next week, and we decided that it was important for us to be there to view it first-hand and provide our perspective on the events.
Other Mansfield-area news outlets will be publishing content from the convention, but only Richland Source will have local reporters on the ground in Cleveland, reporting the stories that affect Richland County. We will be your local voice on the scene of this historic convention.
Richland Source reporters Brittany Schock and Dillon Carr will be spending the week in Cleveland, bringing you coverage of all the news from the convention.
Brittany will be covering events inside the convention, including any major speeches and other developments taking place on the convention floor. Dillon will be on the streets of downtown Cleveland, telling the stories about things happening outside the convention.
During the convention, Brittany and Dillon will be tweeting using the hashtag #RSRNC, so watch your Twitter feed for all the happenings at the convention.
In addition, our reporters will be providing live updates every morning on local radio state WMAN with Rusty Cates, so tune in each morning next week in the 8 o’clock hour to hear from our team.
If you or someone you know is going to be in Cleveland to attend the convention, we would love to hear from you. Brittany and Dillon are both looking for local stories to tell during the convention. You can reach them at Dillon@richlandsource.com and Brittany@richlandsource.com.
