MANSFIELD — The Richland County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of 22-year-old Rakeeim Jermaine Hood of Mansfield.
The sheriff’s office discovered Hood’s body Friday, lying near the ditch on the side of the road in the 400 block of Lexington-Ontario road. Hood was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Captain Donald Zehner stated that Hood did not have any “obvious injuries” when his body was found.

Zehner said that information from those who know Hood about when and where he was last seen would be helpful.
