MANSFIELD – Richland County Children Services (RCCS) has announced the addition of its newest board member, Nicole Blakley.

Blakley was appointed by the Richland County Commissioners to serve out the remaining term of former board member Stacy Jackson-Johnson. The term runs through Dec. 31, 2021.

Nicole graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She is the former director of Crossroads City Center in Mansfield and served in both the U.S. Air Force and the Ohio National Guard.

Nicole is an active community member with a passion for children and families. She is the mother of five children. Nicole and her husband have been blessed to build a family both biologically and through adoption.

“Our eyes have been opened to the needs of not just our children, but children everywhere. I have personally made it a goal to advocate for children and families in all circumstances, giving them a voice in the process,” Blakley said.

Blakley has an extensive background of working with children and families in the community. She served as a Co-Chair for Clear Fork Valley Schools Levy Committee, a Community Advocate for Crossroads City Center, and a Mentor at both Sherman Elementary School and Mansfield UMADAOP. Blakley was a Keynote Speaker for Richland County Spread the Light Community Conversation.

“I feel very honored to be serving on this board that serves a demographic I am extremely passionate about. Strong kids and families can change the world! My family has been blessed by adoption and we believe God puts together the best families,” Blakley said.
