Richland County Board of Elections closing during holidays

A sign will be posted on the office door with the directors’ cell phone numbers to call in case anyone needs immediate assistance. The directors will monitor their emails and phone messages during this time, and will be available as needed.

The staff has been on a staggered schedule with specific employees designated to a “Team A” and “Team B” since the first of December when the county was classified as purple status.

Normal business hours of 8  a.m. until 4 p.m. will be in effect through Wednesday, Dec. 23, and will resume Monday, Jan. 4.

The two directors said no additional paid time off days were necessary, as the staff is required to take vacation, personal, or comp days for the five non-holiday days during this period.
