MANSFIELD -- A Richland County grand jury has indicted two high-profile and high-level persons in the months of January and February, according to Brandon Pigg, chief criminal attorney for the Richland County prosecutor.
Jamie Miller, of Plymouth, has been indicted on 75 various sex offenses with minors, Pigg said.
The charges against the 39-year-old stem from incidents between Aug. 1, 2018 and Oct. 24, 2019.
His charges are 10 counts of rape, 40 counts of sexual battery, 15 counts of gross sexual imposition and 10 counts of sexual imposition. Pigg said he was unable to discuss too much about this case because it involved multiple juveniles.
Chekiah E. Washington Jr., 26, of Mansfield, was indicted on four counts of rape, three counts of attempted rape, three counts of kidnapping, four counts of abduction, two counts of assault, and two counts of public indecency.
Pigg said those charges stem from incidents over four years, March 17, 2015 to Dec. 7, 2019. Multiple adult victims were allegedly involved.
"Because of the nature of this case, I am not at liberty to discuss this any further," Pigg said.
