Mark Romanchuk sworn in

Ontario's Mark Romanchuk took the oath of office accompanied by his wife Zoi during this week's opening ceremony for the 134th General Assembly.

COLUMBUS — The Honorable Mary Katherine Huffman of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas this week administered the oath of office to State Senator Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) marking the beginning of his first four-year term in the Ohio Senate. Today's opening ceremonies also served as the official start of the 134th Ohio General Assembly.

Romanchuk serves as State Senator for the 22nd Senate District, which includes Ashland, Medina and Richland counties and a portion of Holmes county.

"I am looking forward to serving the people of the 22nd Senate District and working with my colleagues to craft policies that will strengthen our economy, and make Ohio the best place to live" Romanchuk said.

Prior to being elected to the Senate, Romanchuk served four terms in the Ohio House of Representatives. He also has over 35 years of experience in small business, systems engineering and management, and community development. Romanchuk is the owner and CEO of PR Machine Works, Inc., a contract manufacturer providing precision machining, fabrication, and assembly services in the city of Ontario.
