One juvenile was transported by medical helicopter and four juveniles were injured on Tuesday afternoon in a one-vehicle rollover accident in western Richland County, according to the Mansfield Post of the State Highway Patrol.

The patrol declined to identify the injured as of Tuesday night, citing their juvenile status.

Troopers said the crash occurred on Ohio 181 between Ulmer Road and Horning Road at around 3:42 PM. A 1999 Ford Explorer was eastbound on Ohio 181 when it went partially off the right side of the road and over-corrected.

The vehicle slid off the left side the road crashing into a ditch and overturning into a field. A passenger inside the Ford Explorer was ejected from the vehicle at the time during the crash.

The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene, troopers said. Three of the other passengers also suffered non-life threatening injuries and were also treated at the scene.

The passenger who had been ejected from the vehicle was transported from the scene by Med-Flight. The passenger's condition was not released on Tuesday night.

The Crestline Police Department, Crestline Fire Department, Springfield Township Fire Department, Med-Flight and Ronk’s Towing assisted on scene.

Ohio 181 was closed in both directions for approximately 90 minutes. Both lanes of travel are now open.
