ONTARIO -- Many Shades of Pink, a breast cancer awareness organization, has teamed up with community organization We ACT and the North End Improvement Collaborative, to host the Many Shades Pink Luncheon at noon on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Hawkins Event Center, 2131 Park Ave. West.
This event will celebrate breast cancer survivors and promote early detection.
Forming a collaboration with Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund and the Cleveland Clinic, the Many Shades of Pink organization represents women of all races and through all stages of breast cancer.
A homemade soup and salad luncheon will be provided free of charge although donations will be accepted. Proceeds will go towards those who are battling breast cancer.
The main guest speaker will be Rashaun Cherie James, a Tutoring by Teachers and Columbus City Schools educator and author.
Moderated by Brigitte Coles, featured guest speakers will be: Patti Kastelic, director of oncology at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital; Rhonda Breit, chairperson of the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund; and Lori Gailey, Livestrong trainer.
Cleveland Clinic, Richland Bank and UMADAOP are major sponsors of this event.
Many Shades of Pink’s mission is to empower, inspire and help those affected by breast cancer through education, early detection and support programs.
