MANSFIELD -- The Richland County Veteran Service Commission will not be conducting face-to-face interviews, allowing walk-in clients, or transporting to the VA Medical Centers until further notice per the State of Emergency declared by Governor Mike DeWine.

If you are seeking emergency financial assistance, call the office and speak with Executive Director Ken Estep.

If you have any benefit questions or issues, service officers will be available by phone.

If you have any symptoms (fever, coughing/sneezing, trouble breathing) and your family physician is the VA, call 1-800-368-8262. Be sure to follow their guidelines and do not leave your home.

If you cannot contact your physician, you should call the Richland County Health Department at 419-774-4500 or the State of Ohio Health Department at 614-722-7221.

The board has directed this to protect all its employees, fellow veterans and the public from coronavirus exposure.
