DELAWARE -- A Bucyrus man was transported to a regional hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a Monday morning crash involving a United Parcel Service truck in Patrol Investigates Injury Commercial Crash in Delaware County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Aaron J. Bishop, of Bucyrus, was transported by Delaware County EMS to Riverside Methodist Hospital, the Patrol stated. The single-vehicle crash took place at approximately 8:48 a.m. in Troy Township.

According to authorities, a brown, 2014 UPS delivery truck was traveling southbound on US 23, when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and a tree before overturning onto its side.

One lane of US 23 northbound, and southbound was closed at mile post 15 for approximately two hours while recovery crews removed the vehicle from the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Delaware Police Department, Delaware City Street Department, and Delaware County EMS. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists to remain alert, and undistracted. The crash remains under investigation.
