Flash Flood watch

MANSFIELD -- North central Ohio residents need to break out the umbrellas this weekend.

Rain is on the way, and in a big way. So much so that a Flash Flood Watch has been issued from Saturday afternoon through Monday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will develop along a frontal boundary this weekend and into early next week.

Periods of heavy rainfall will result in flash flooding and rapid rises on area rivers. Rainfall amounts will vary notably across the area, however higher amounts of 4 to 6 inches will be possible.
