ASHLAND COUNTY — Two drivers sustained minor injuries Thursday afternoon in a head-on crash on Ohio 545, according to the Ashland Post of the State Highway Patrol.

The accident, just south of Clear Creek Township Road 908, occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m., troopers said.

A 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Michael D. Lindecamp 48, Ashland, drove left of center and struck a 2016 Ford E350 head-on. The Ford E350 was driven by Robert B. Thorne 59, of Mansfield, according to the patrol.

After the collision, the Ford E350 went off of the right side of the road and struck a ditch and a fence before coming back onto the road. The Ford E350 then overturned on its side before coming to a final rest in the road.

The Chevy Cobalt went off of the left side of the road and struck a ditch and a fence before coming to a final rest.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries from the crash.

Lindecamp was cited for driving left of center, driving under suspension and for leaving the scene of an accident.

Other agencies assisting were the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and Savannah Fire & EMS, troopers said.
