SAVANNAH — An Ashland man died Saturday morning after a one-vehicle crash in Bailey Lakes, according to the Ashland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Ronald J. Pryor, 62, was unresponsive at the scene and transported to University Hospitals Ashland by Savannah Volunteer Fire Department. The Patrol reported he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident took place at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Main Street (U.S. 250) in Bailey Lakes.

The Patrol stated Pryor was driving a 2001 Dodge Dakota northbound on Main Street (US 250) in Bailey Lakes. He was delivering newspapers and traveled off the left side of the roadway at a low speed. His vehicle came to rest against a building, the building did not sustain any significant damage.

The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland Fire Department, and Aber’s towing assisted at the scene.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected in this incident. The crash remains under investigation.
