Dr. Jeffrey Sikkenga

MANSFIELD -- Dr. Jeffrey Sikkenga, executive director of the Ashbrook Center and professor of political science at Ashland University, will be the guest speaker April 15 during the Richland County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will be in the Kobacher Room at DLX Events and Catering, 28 N. Main St.

Sikkenga, who joined the AU faculty in 1997, has been a senior fellow in the Program on Constitutionalism and Democracy at the University of Virginia; a visiting scholar at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution; and the William E. Simon Distinguished Visiting Professor at the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University.

He has lectured across the country on religious liberty, American politics, and the Supreme Court.

Sikkenga earned his master's and doctorate's degrees at the University of Toronto and his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia.
