MANSFIELD — Volunteers are needed to get the Liberty Park Garden up and growing.

Last year, the garden produced more than 900 pounds of fresh vegetables for area residents.

The plan is to once again produce beans, peas, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, turnips, greens and squash.

This project will help to meet the needs for fresh produce through the East Side’s own Catholic Charities food pantry.

April work times and dates are 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays: April 3, April 8, April 10, April 15 and April 22.
