On a winter day 18 years ago, MaryJo Hull and her husband Jim walked outside of their home, located a quarter mile back off a main road and found footprints in the snow. The heavy prints, which belonged to neither of them, circled the house in a desperate search for a way in. When the intruder realized they wouldn’t be able to make it inside the house, they walked off, unfortunately breaking into the Hull’s next-door neighbor’s house instead.
Little did that intruder know that had they stepped any closer to the Hull’s house, a motion sensor would have gone off and notified the local authorities.
