MANSFIELD – Richland Pregnancy Services plans to serve the community at the Ocie Hill Community Center beginning in March.

“The news announced at (Tuesday) night’s city council meeting of the Ocie Hill building closing on Sept. 1 is not what we had been prepared to hear. However, we trust that city council and all involved in this decision are not taking it lightly,” Friends of Richland Pregnancy Services Executive Director Amanda Clark said. “We trust that all of those making these tough decisions are looking at this from every angle to do what is best for the community.

“We are thankful that it was stated that there are plans to look into a new building or place the nonprofits within Ocie Hill to other locations downtown. Our desire is to serve downtown Mansfield residents in a close proximity, and we believe the Lord will continue to provide ways for this to happen.”

Looking forward, Richland Pregnancy Services (RPS) still plans to move forward with its community cleaning day on Saturday, Feb. 22 and to open a satellite office at Ocie Hill soon.
