ONTARIO — Central Ohio Operation Christmas Child Collection Week 2021 officially ended the morning of Nov. 22, as two double-trailered semis left Freedom Ridge Church in Ontario carrying 22,599 Christmas boxes on their way to Samaritan Purse Processing Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.

“We use shoeboxes filled with school supplies, hygiene items, toys and other fun items as a tangible way of sharing God’s Love and the Christmas Child, Jesus, with children in over 170 countries around the world,” organizers said.

“We are grateful for so many churches, community groups and families who packed shoeboxes and volunteered at local drop off areas within our six counties of Ashland, Crawford, Knox, Marion, Morrow and Richland Counties.”
