MANSFIELD -- NECIC invites the public to the art exhibition of local artist Julian ‘BaShawn’ Windham for this month’s AALI Social event.
“Born and raised and Mansfield, I’ve been painting since I could remember,” Windham said. “Emotions, beauty, truth, sadness, strength, happiness: each is a part of the many elements that help me create a piece. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and through my eyes I give you my view of beauty.”
When we ask what message does he want his art to portray, he added, “Elegance speaks throughout each piece—a moment captured.
Being a local artist, BaShawn has use various mediums to create his paintings to make his style unique and fresh. “My collection has no limits; I seek new mediums to give my pieces their own identity. One of my favorite sayings are create what you can’t have.”
BaShawn will continue to strive for a future in the arts. He plans on becoming one of the world’s best fashion designer.
Julian “BaShawn” Windham will also be showcasing his work on Sept. 21 noon to 7 p.m at Mansfield Central Park, Mansfield first Art Festival so make sure to look out for BaShawn.
