MANSFIELD – Yvonka Marie Hall will be the speaker for the upcoming AALI Speaks event on Monday, Sept. 9 from noon to 1:30 p.m. She will speak to the audience about health disparities in the black community.
Hall is currently the Executive Director of the Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition, the first organization in Ohio that focuses on researching and addressing health disparities in the African American community. She is a graduate of Texas Southern University and Notre Dame College of Ohio and recipient of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women National Health & Advocacy Award.
Hall, a nationally recognized health disparities expert, served on numerous boards in an effort to raise awareness about systemic racism, infant mortality, domestic violence, health disparities, mental illness, employment, and many more important topics related to the plight of African Americans.
Hall brings tremendous expertise and insight into the incredibly important topic of health disparities of blacks. We invite the community to come listen to her story and work in the community.
