Ice sculptures are a big part of Mohican Winterfest taking place in Loudonville this weekend.

LOUDONVILLE -- While usually accompanied with snowfall and leftover Christmas cookies, January is also home to Loudonville's annual Mohican Winterfest.

The Mohican Winterfest takes place Friday, Jan. 10 through Sunday, Jan. 12 in downtown Loudonville. A long set of activities take place throughout the weekend.

Winterfest is best known for the ice sculptures that are on display in town.

"We have 32 ice sculptures ordered that will be placed down Main Street," said Valerie Spreng, Executive Director of the Loudonville Chamber of Commerce.
