MANSFIELD — The Mid-Ohio Area AFL-CIO Labor Council will host a golf outing on Saturday, July 24th at The Woods at Possum Run. Proceeds from this event will benefit the new Behavioral Health Urgent Care opening soon at Catalyst Life Services.
The new Behavioral Health Urgent Care will be opening on August 2nd at The Center building located at 741 Scholl Road, Mansfield, OH. It will allow for immediate access of initial assessments and brief, solution-focused counseling. This will be available Monday – Saturday, and two evenings per week, on a walk -in basis for mental health or substance use treatment.
Norm Shoemaker, President of the Mid Ohio Area AFL-CIO is looking forward to this annual event, “Labor is very excited to be hosting an event that will have such a big impact on people needing care in Central Ohio. When we heard Catalyst would be opening up a new urgent care for mental health and addiction treatment, we thought that would be the perfect project to support.”
The deadline for the golf scramble has been extended to Wednesday, July 21, 2021 for registration. Registration can be done online at www.catalystlifeservices.org. On the day of the event – July 24th, registration will be at 8 a.m. and a Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Miss Ohio Lora Current will perform the pledge of allegiance.
Melissa Drozda, Marketing & Development Director at Catalyst Life Services is thankful for the support given to Catalyst. “We appreciate the generosity once again given to us by labor for hosting this event. This is a fun way to support the services we provide and we look forward to partnering with Norm on this event every year.” She encourages business to still sign up, “We extended the deadline a few days in hopes to get a few more teams registered!”.
