MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Symphony Chorus will join forces with our region’s finest high school choirs for “Sing Out! A Choral Celebration” on Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Renaissance Theatre.

The event, which is part of the OhioHealth Symphony Series is free with a suggested donation of $5 at the door.

Lori Turner, the new Chorus Master for the Mansfield Symphony Chorus, brings nearly three decades of award-winning experience to her position of Artistic Director of the Renaissance Youth Opera Theatre. She has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City and at the Paris Opera in France and has made numerous television and film appearances.

She began her professional career in Los Angeles where she sang with the Los Angeles Opera, the Roger Wagner Chorale and the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra. She spent 10 years in Europe as a member of the Royal Flemish Opera in Belgium.

Since returning to the United States, Lori has devoted her time to her great passion — introducing young performers to the wonderful world of Gilbert and Sullivan and other classic operetta and lyric Broadway composers. Lori has frequently appeared as a soloist with the Mansfield Symphony and with the late Tom Croghan.
