MANSFIELD -- On Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m., the magnificent Mansfield Jazz Orchestra and the Richland Academy of the Arts Big Band will appear live and in concert at the Richland Academy of the Arts, featuring the music of the great Count Basie.
Also, being spotlighted will be the Sinatra-Basie vocal stylizations of crooner Brian Michael Smith. Hits to be performed include “April in Paris,” “Shiny Stockings,” “Moten Swing,” “Corner Pocket,” and many more.
Tickets for this concert are now on sale by calling 419-522-8224: $10 for adults; and $8 for students, veterans, and seniors. Richland Academy Students will be admitted free. This is a BYOB event. This performance is one of the four concerts in the Majestic Theatre Jazz Concert Series presented by the Gimbel Foundation.
