MANSFIELD -- Mayor Tim Theaker and Parks and Recreation Manager Mark Abrams has announce the City of Mansfield’s very first Light Up Mansfield Holiday Light Decorating Contest.

"This is a safe way to still have some holiday cheer during these times of a global Pandemic," Theaker said.

Get into the holiday spirit with a friendly, fun and festive competition. In order to be a part of Mansfield’s first Light Up Mansfield Holiday Light Decorating Contest contestants will have to enter their home to be registered on our map of local light displays. 

Please register your home's light display by Dec. 10 to be included on the local map.

There will be three prizes.

$100 cash prize for Best Overall Display - sponsored by the Mansfield United Lions Club.

$50 cash prize for Brightest Display - sponsored by American Graphics.

$50 cash prize for Most Creative Display - sponsored by We ACT.

A list of addresses, including the winners, will be available on the city's Facebook page starting Dec. 17. Winners will be determined by the prize sponsors and city officials.
