ASHLAND -- Landoll’s Mohican Castle’s annual Kingdom of Lights Christmas light display opens on Friday, Nov. 22 and lasts until after New Year’s Day.
Each year, the property is decked-out with thousands of lights and the community is invited to walk around and observe the breathtaking scenery.
“We decorate and people like to come and check it all out,” said Jim Landoll, general manager of Landoll’s Mohican Castle. “This is our third official year doing this kind of set-up.
“We set out about 120,000 lights in total.”
Several outdoor Christmas trees will be up for display for spectators’ viewing pleasure and holiday music will be played around the property as well.
Santa Claus will be making an appearance every Friday and Saturday night to visit with children from 6 to 8 p.m. Hot cocoa will also be served. The event is free Sunday through Thursday and $8 per car on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Copper Mug Bar and Grill will be open throughout the holiday season and a buffet will take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The Kingdom of Lights event ends at 10 p.m. every night to respect those who are staying in the hotel on the property.
