MANSFIELD -- The Russell and Mary Gimbel Foundation of Mansfield recently approved a grant in the amount of $1,500 designated for the “Special Wish” program at Hospice of North Central Ohio.
Hospice of North Central Ohio has long enjoyed a cordial relationship and benefitted from the generous support of Richland County’s charitable foundations. Richland County residents account for approximately 40 percent of HNCO’s hospice patients annually.
This grant will have an immediate impact on those patients through the Special Wish program which was established by and is managed through HNCO volunteers.
The Special Wish fund provides support for special requests from hospice patients and their families not covered by insurance.
Ralph Tomassi, Chief Development Officer/Senior Administrator at Hospice of North Central Ohio states, “Charity programs like 'Special Wishesl would not be possible without the financial support received through gifts and grants.
“We are grateful to the Gimbel Foundation for all that they have done and continue to do to support our special mission.”
Hospice of North Central Ohio serves the communities of Ashland, Richland, Knox, Crawford, Morrow and Huron counties. For more information on HNCO end-of-life care, Life Seasons Palliative Care, Bereavement services, grief counseling or kid’s summer camps, call 1-800-952-2207.
