The Mansfield Parks & Recreation Department hosted its first free summer Party in the Park on Friday night at North Lake Park. The "Luau Party" event included a performance by dancers from Pacific Paradise Entertainment from Cleveland. Community members enjoyed free hot dogs, watermelon, pineapple and snowcones. Children could make crafts, and received prizes for limbo and hula hoop contests. Pacific Paradise Entertainment entertained the crowd with energetic Polynesian dances & rhythmic sounds. Sponsorship was provided in part by Youth & Family Council. The next party is June 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johns Park with a "Superhero/Princess" theme. (Submitted photos)
