MANSFIELD -- The Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center launched a Capital Campaign in April of 2016, Beyond Dreams…Within Reach, to make structural, land and accessibility improvements to the property after the organization was gifted funds to purchase it in 2015.
The purchase included the existing structures and 34 acres of land. It did not include the frontage on Trimble Road, noted Dawn Miller, public relations manager of Raemelton. The current owners of the frontage are selling that land for development, thus the For Sale signs are prominent at the front entrance to Raemelton.
"Raemelton is growing and thriving, and is looking forward to a bright and exciting future in Richland County for years to come," Miller said.
Beginning immediately, the main entrance to Raemelton will be moving to Marion Avenue. The entrance from Trimble will become a service entrance only as Raemelton will have an easement on that driveway.
Miller stated that over the past several months, Raemelton has made many improvements to the land and facility including the construction of an ADA accessible grooming/tacking barn, a new stall barn, renovation of the polo barn into a hay and mechanicals barn and a small indoor arena is currently being constructed.
Over the spring and summer of 2018, pastures will be moved as Raemelton currently leases the land that is for sale.
Raemelton provides equine-assisted activities and therapies to individuals with disabilities ages 2-1/2 through adult. If you have further questions or would like information about services available, call 419-756-0040 or email Raemelton@raemelton.org.
