MANSFIELD -- Do enjoy spending December nights looking at Christmas lights?

If so, we’ve got the perfect Christmas gift for you -- a list of local displays, put together with the help of our readers.

Pour yourself a mug of hot chocolate and pile in the car. There’s dozens of houses to see.

Clark Griswold's Competition

2251 Marion Avenue Road, Mansfield

Clark Griswold would envy this extravagant display at 2251 Marion Avenue Rd. Business owner, Matthew Ambrose and his employees use an estimated 80,000 lights and more than a dozen projector lights to create this winter wonderland at Ambry Asphalt and Ambrose's nearby house.

"There's a nice one on Marion Ave Rd passed Twin Lakes on the left," Marsha Scott said on Facebook.

Spreading Christmas Cheer

177 Foxcroft Road, Mansfield

Buddy the Elf once said, "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear." A display at 177 Foxcroft Rd. takes Buddy's inspiration to a new level, featuring singing Christmas trees.

"We usually check out the same places every year and try to find new ones," said Lindsay Roberts, who submitted this display for Richland Source's list.

Santa is coming! Santa is coming!

At least it looks that way at one house, according to a reader.

If driving through Shelby, be sure to stop by the one-of-a-kind display at 4290 Shoup Rd.

"My neighbor spends a lot of time preparing this light display and continues to adds to it each year. All lights are well thought out," said the anonymous individual who submitted the display.

"(He) even uses his equipment to make it appear Santa’s sleigh is about to land on his house. Beautiful display and many people drive by to see it."
