MANSFIELD – The Connections Fund of the Richland County Foundation will award grants during a Winter Reception Jan. 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Foundation, 181 South Main Street, Mansfield.

Incoming Connections Fund Co-Chairwomen Valerie Ashcraft and Cassie Brumfield will announce the grants.

Since 2005 the Connections Fund has awarded close to $120,000 to nonprofit organizations in Richland County. The mission of the Connections Fund of the Richland County Foundation is to foster and retain leaders and professionals in Richland County and to promote a philanthropic identity and involvement in the community.

The Richland County Foundation, a not-for-profit 501c3, was established in 1945 as a way for individuals to pool and invest their gifts for the long-term good of Richland County and its residents.
