MANSFIELD – Mrs. Michelle Patrick was named the new principal at ABRAXAS School of Ohio in Shelby during the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) Board of Governors meeting June 26.
Patrick has been serving as a Special Education Consultant for several MOESC client districts the past three years. She worked as an Intervention Specialist at ABRAXAS prior to her time as a consultant.
“I am very excited to be given the opportunity to lead the ABRAXAS school,” Patrick said. “My goal is to improve the current educational climate and bridge the gap between the school’s current partner agencies.”
Patrick earned the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University and the Masters in Educational Administration and Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist from Ashland University.
“We are excited that Michelle will be working with our ABRAXAS students again as the building leader,” interim Superintendent Ed Swartz said. “She will do a fantastic job helping our staff provide a top rate education for our students.”
