MANSFIELD — The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center recognized its seven board members at the January Board Meeting with Interim Superintendent Ed Swartz presenting board members with an OSBA certificate.
He also thanked them for their continued efforts in supporting Mid-Ohio ESC and the school districts and student they serve.
The Ohio School Boards Association is celebrating School Board Recognition Month through the month of January to build awareness and understanding of the vital function an elected board of education plays in society.
School Board Recognition Month honors the members of Ohio’s more than 700 city, exempted village, local and joint vocational boards of education and educational service centers governing boards for their commitment to providing quality public education to Ohio’s school children.
In other board business, Mary Dixon was nominated as Board President and Doug Theaker was nominated as vice-president during the Organizational Meeting. Board meetings for the 2019 year will take place the fourth Wednesday of the month at noon.
