FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown Local School’s administrative building roof is likely to be replaced before the first day of the upcoming school year, board officials said at Tuesday night’s meeting.

The repairs come after damages were caused by a 2009-2010 storm, interim Superintendent James Peterson said.

The roof has had repeated leakage and is being fixed thanks to ESSER funds, Treasurer Heather Darnold said.

Alumni Roofing will lead the project, with price tag of $439,207.42, according to the board’s agenda. The roof comes with a 20-year warranty.

A three-year collective bargaining agreement with the Fredericktown Education Association and Ohio Association of Public School Employees was approved that included a 2.5% base salary increase, ending June 30, 2025.

Online ticketing for events held by the district was approved, with the board noting physical ticket sales will continue. Ticket rates were raised by $1, Darnold said, which is set by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Varsity games for adults are $8 and students $5.
