ONTARIO -- Cypress High School, located at 1160 W 4th St, Ontario, will be fully remote from Nov. 30 through its return from winter break on Jan. 4, according to Danielle Kelley, director of the school.
"In order to practice an abundance of caution, we will return to in-person, hybrid or fully remote model when we re-open to students on Jan. 4 at 7:30 a.m." Kelley stated.
Below is a basic schedule for the coming weeks:
Week of Nov. 30
The building is closed all week - 100 percent remote for students, teachers and staff will remain in the building to help students as much as possible.
All staff will be available via phone, text, email, social media, Google Meets, Zoom, and other formats as determined by the teacher during regular business hours (8 a.m. through 4 p.m.).
Week of Dec. 7 and Dec. 14
Students will work remote.
The building will be open for written work/packet drop off and pick up from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m.
End of Course (EoC) testing will be available in the morning 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in limited numbers. Students who are scheduled for the upcoming exams will be contacted shortly.
Limited staff in building for testing and for work drop-off/pick-up.
Career Technical Education (CTE) classes in the morning for students. Career Tech teachers will be in contact with students.
Dr. Kelley will be sending out a schedule next week with more details.

CTE classes will go from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and noon until 2:30 p.m. daily.
The Christmas break is from Dec. 21 through Jan. 3. The building will be closed and staff will be enjoying the holidays, and therefore unavailable. School will re-open as usual on Jan. 4.
