OLIVESBURG -- The Crestview High School FFA is again conducting its "Gifts of Love" event to benefit residents of Dayspring, the county's assisted living center.

"Our goal is to brighten the residents' holiday season by providing gifts to all 47 residents to make their Christmas a little better," chapter leaders said.

The project was created during the COVID-19 pandemic to assist Dayspring residents during a time of lockdown.

"With the unknowns of the past two years, there are a lot of changes and some new norms that might not be for the best," the leaders said. "At the end of the projects, we aim to have all of the residents' wishes and stockings full of everyday items they need."

Donated items requested include toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, batteries, activity bools/puzzles and card games.

Financial contributions will also be accepted.

Monetary donations and donated items can be sent or dropped off at the high school office in care of Crestview FFA, 1575 State Route 96, Ashland, Ohio, 44805.

People can also donate with a credit card or through the FFA fruit sale account. Visit https://crestviewffafruitsale.squarespace.com, scroll to the bottom and look for the Gifts of Love icon.
