OLIVESBURG -- The Crestview Educational Foundation (CEF) awarded 10 scholarships to graduating seniors at the May 24 senior awards night at Crestview High School.
Board of Trustees members were on hand to make the presentations along with scholarship patrons.
Scholarships totaling $8500 were awarded to the following individuals:
The Harold and Betty Daup Family Scholarship of $1,000 was awarded to Jacob Greer.
The Trent Family Scholarship of $500 went to Brody Moore.
The Sara Dinsmore Scholarship of $1,500 was awarded to Tim McAvene.
The Loyd Dalton Family Athletic Scholarship of $500 was given to Caroline Tackett.
The Dorothy Oswalt Scholarship of $500 was awarded to Kathleen Hill.
Two Walker Rey Ramsay Scholarships each worth $1,500 were awarded to Molly Ardis and LaCrisha Sauder.
The CEF awarded two $500 scholarships to Izabella Rose and Paige Schunatz.
The Crestview Staff “Investing In You” scholarship of $500 went to Paige Schaefer.
The CEF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide scholarships to graduating seniors at Crestview High School and to provide financial aid to classroom teachers in the form of teacher grants.
The Foundation was formally established in 2010 and awarded its first scholarships in the the spring of 2011 totaling $2,000. Contributions to the CEF can be sent to: Crestview Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 1701, Mansfield, Ohio 4490-11701.
Scholarships in the name of an individual, family or business are available with a gift of $10,000 or more. Inquiries about the Foundation can be made at the Crestview Board of Education office.
