ADAMS TOWNSHIP – A Tiffin woman was seriously injured after a Tuesday morning crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Norwalk Post.

Caroline T. Plank, 22, of Tiffin, suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene by Life Flight to Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, the Patrol reported.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 101, south of milepost 10 in Adams Township, Seneca County at approximately 12:55 a.m., officials stated. 

According to authorities, Plank was driving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler northeast on State Route 101. She traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by D and D Towing.

Plank appeared to not be wearing her seatbelt, the patrol stated. Alcohol and drug use to not appear to be a contributing factors in the crash which remains under investigation.

Assisting on scene were the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department, Green Springs Fire Department, North Central EMS, St. Vincent’s Life Flight, and D and D Towing.
