About the Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame
The Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame was created in 2006 by several county athletic directors and others interested in creating a hall of fame to honor past athletes and those who have outstanding achievement in sports. The Crawford County Hall of Fame also created a scholarship fund to award Crawford County student athletes with money to help pay for a college education.
The Hall of Fame became incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2007 and all contributions to the Hall of Fame are tax deductable. We strive to serve our community of approximately 45,000 people. The Hall of Fame gives us a great sense of accomplishment and is an example of our schools working together for the common good of Crawford County, Ohio.
Each year the Crawford County Hall of Fame conducts fundraising events such as our 5K run in July, a live and silent auction, and our annual induction banquet. All proceeds go to fund our scholarship effort and expenses for our Hall of Fame Induction Banquet held in March.
Our ultimate goal includes finding a spot in Crawford County to house our induction plaques. We are building our scholarship fund and are offering scholarship opportunities to student/athletes in Crawford County. Our scholarship is administered through the Community Foundation for Crawford County and online applications are available in the early spring. Contributions to the Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame may be sent to P.O. Box 313, Crestline, Ohio 44827
