CRESTLINE — Crestline police said they are looking for a 40-year-old man as they investigate the death of a West Bucyrus Street woman whose body was found in her home Thursday night.
Officers responded to 701 W. Bucyrus St. at 9:08 p.m. to assist the family of Cynthia Jo Heath, 47.
“After the family made entry into her home, Cynthia was found to be deceased,” Chief Jeffrey Shook said in a press release. “Once officers arrived, it was determined that Cynthia’s death was of unnatural causes.”
The chief said the house was immediately secured and a search warrant was obtained. Shook said the Crawford County coroner’s office and the prosecutor’s office responded to the scene.
Shook said Crestline police requested assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to process the crime scene. He said “numerous” items were collected as evidence.
“A vehicle being driven by the victim was not located at the home and it’s believed to have been stolen,” Shook said.
Investigators seek public assistance in locating the vehicle, described as a maroon, 2004 GMC Envoy with Ohio license plates 239ZHV.
Shook said police are looking for Robert Pinyerd, 40, who was also living at the West Bucyrus Street address. Pinyerd is described as 5-foot-11 and 220 pounds.
Shook said there is an active felony arrest warrant out of Richland County for Pinyerd. According to Richland County Common Pleas court records, Pinyerd was indicted in January for illegally conveying drugs into a government facility and drug possession.
He said Pinyerd should be considered armed and dangerous.
“If seen, do not approach this individual. Call local law enforcement,” Shook said.

Shook said the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Bucyrus Police Department also assisted on Thursday night.
