Royal Bee fundraiser for 'Coach Teg'

NORTH ROBINSON -- In the fall of 2008, the Colonel Crawford community was blessed to hire Ryan Teglovic as both an educator and the head football coach.

Over the past 12 plus years, “Coach Teg,” as he is affectionately known, has made a lasting impact on thousands of students, motivating them to be the best they can be in the classroom. He has also brought years of success to the Eagles football program with his family approach to coaching.

Now, Coach Teg is facing unprecedented health challenges, and in response, the Colonel Crawford family is being asked to give back. Two separate fundraisers have been started with the proceeds going to this outstanding role model, educator and coach.

Royal Bee, a family-run apparel maker in Crestline, is offering t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts, and hoodies with a special #TegStrong design. Royal Bee will be giving 50% of the proceeds to the Teglovic family.

Those interested in this fundraiser can send a message through Facebook or Instagram (@royal.bee2020 on both platforms) to place an order, or they can text 419-545-2642 or 419-565-0770. Orders are due by Feb. 19.

Royal Bee co-owner Elizabeth Hatfield said, “My husband and his sister went to Colonel Crawford High School, so when they heard about Coach Teg, it was a must that we help out anyway we could. We have gotten so many orders and that just proves how much people love Coach Teg and his family.”

The second fundraiser is a collaboration among Anthony Lee Screen Printing, the Colonel Crawford Lions Club, and the school district.

T-shirts with another special Coach Teg design are available for $12 in sizes youth medium through adult XL. Larger sizes are a little more. Order forms can be returned with students to Jake Bruner, Colonel Crawford High School Principal, or mailed to Jill Rittenour at 4018 Kocher Rd., Bucyrus, Ohio, 44820. The deadline for these orders with payment is Feb. 22.

The shirts will be delivered to the school and available for pick up the week of March 8. Anyone with questions about this fundraiser can contact Bruner at the high school at (419) 562-4666 or Rittenour at (419) 569-4062.

Colonel Crawford Local Schools provides education to over 900 students from preschool through 12th grade. The district offers a curriculum with a wide range of electives and comprehensive courses of study in college preparatory, vocational and physical education programs. The district’s mission is to enable students to grow academically and socially by providing a safe, positive and challenging learning environment.
