Civil War re-enactment

There will be a Civil War re-enactment June 29 & 30 at Unger Park near Bucyrus.

BUCYRUS -- There will be a Civil War re-enactment on Saturday, June 29 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday, June 30 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Unger Park, 1303 Bucyrus-Nevada Road in Bucyrus.

The Crawford Park District invites you to stroll through army encampments of the North and South and watch a battle reenactment. There will be period demonstrations, interactive activities, and kids can be “recruited” into a soldier’s life. Enjoy this fun filled event for all ages.

8 to 10:30 a.m.: Company Drill

11 a.m.: Battle Reenactment

Noon: Spector Volunteer Drill & Visit Camps

1 p.m.: A Soldier’s Accoutrements

3 p.m.: Event is closed to the General Public

9:30 pm: Astronomy Program (weather permitting)

Sunday, June 30

8 to 10:30 a.m.: Company Drill

11 a.m.: Battle Reenactment

Noon: Spector Volunteer Drill & Visit Camps

1 p.m.: Event ends. Travel Safely.
