BUCYRUS -- Six people were detained and suspected cash and drugs were seized in a joint law enforcement effort on Thursday night in Bucyrus.
According to the Bucyrus Police Department, a search warrant was served at approximately 7:32 p.m. at 818 S. Sandusky Ave. During the course of the search six people were detained and a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, heroin and related drug paraphernalia was seized. The street value of the suspected methamphetamine was approximately $6,000.
The entry team consisted of officers of Bucyrus Police, assisted by METRICH, the Marion County Sheriff's Office, the Crawford County Special Response Team, comprised of Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Galion Police, Crestline Police, Galion and Bucyrus Fire Departments.
The search was the result of an investigation and information from numerous tips received. The incident remains under investigation and suspects in custody are being detained at the Crawford County Justice Center awaiting formal charges.

11:55 a.m. A report of possible drug activity in the 1400 block of Marion Rd. was investigated.
12 noon Howard Gettings, 36 was cited for driving under suspension in the 100 block of N Spring St.
12:01 p.m. A false alarm was received from the 300 block of E Mansfield St.
12:54 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of S Poplar St.
12:57 p.m. Officers assisted EMS in the 1000 block of Tiffin St.
1:34 p.m. A vandalism was reported in the 300 block of E. Lucas St. A mirror was damaged on a car.
1:35 p.m. A two-vehicle crash was reported in the 100 block of E. Center St. A west bound 1992 Chevy Blazer struck a parked car. The woman driving was trying to drive away when officers arrived. The driver was extremely intoxicated and had been consuming Bud Ice in the vehicle. Dawn Kessell of Chatfield was arrested for OVI and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center.
1:39 p.m. Officers responded to a domestic violence complaint and Howard Gettings, 36, was arrested in the 1600 block of Marion Rd on charges of domestic violence. He was taken to Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.
2:13 p.m. Officers spoke to a subject at the police department about a civil issue.
2:29 p.m. A report of a suspicious person was investigated in the 400 block of N. Sandusky Av. A man was intoxicated and resting in the mulch. He was taken to his mom’s residence.
3:10 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 100 block of N. Sandusky Ave.
3:39 p.m. A report of a suspicious person was made in the 1600 block of Marion Rd. BORN provided assistance for the man.
3:58 p.m. Officers spoke to a subject about a possible stolen bicycle in the 400 block of N. Sandusky.
4:38 p.m. Officers spoke to an unruly juvenile in the 600 block of E. Oakwood Av.
5:10 p.m. A report of juveniles in the roadway, refusing to move for traffic was reported on W. Irving St.
5:16 p.m. Traffic stop was made on W. Perry St. and N. Sandusky Ave. and a citation was issued for no operator’s license. Takiyah Wright, 22, was arrested on a Crawford County warrant and drug possession. She was taken to Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.
5:32 p.m. A report of a suspicious person was reported in the 1000 block of N. Sandusky Av. They were travelers that were out of gas.
6:18 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the 600 block of Hopley Av.
7 p.m. Officers spoke to a resident in the 600 block of Aurora St. about his car having been taken by an acquaintance. His car was driven by the subject arrested for OVI for striking a parked car on E. Center St.
7:14 p.m. A report of a dog barking was investigated in the 200 block of Gaius St.
7:20 p.m. Officers investigated a 911 hang up call in the 1000 block of WIngert St.
7:25 p.m. A disturbance was reported in the 700 block of W. Perry St.
7:25 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 1000 block of N. Sandusky Av.
8:29 p.m. A report of a noise disturbance was a motor repair in the 900 block of Reid St.
9:16 p.m. A traffic complaint was made on E Southern Av.
9:09 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 1700 block of Marion Rd.
9:31 p.m. A report of a disturbance was made in the Bucyrus Plaza area.
9:57 p.m. A report of a male with a gun in the 300 block of Iron St. was unfounded.
10:07 p.m. A report of kids playing basketball loudly in the area of E. Southern Ave. and East St. was checked.

10:59 p.m. Officers assisted a male on station with a concern he had and transported him to his residence.
11:14 p.m. Theodore Miller, 36, approached the search team at 818 S. Sandusky Ave. and was arrested on a felony warrant out of Crawford County. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held.

12:49 a.m. A report of juveniles running around in the 1000 block of N. Sandusky Ave. was investigated.
1:59 a.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the 400 block of S. Sandusky Ave.
2:09 a.m. Individuals playing basketball at Aumiller Park were sent on their way as the park was closed.
2:35 a.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of N. Sandusky Ave. and Mary St.
3:06 a.m. Officers on patrol checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of N. Sandusky Ave. They were waiting for a ride.
