BUCYRUS – The Bucyrus City School District hosted its annual staff recognition dinner in the Bucyrus High School Commons May 30. The district honored an array of staff members for their years of care and commitment to the children of the Bucyrus community.
The 2017-2018 retirees, Judy Grochowalski, Roxanne Shipman, Anne Devine, Tony Michalek and Katie Roesch, take with them a total of 152 years of experience in education. Additional staff members were recognized for 5, 10, 20 and 30 years of service in the district.
Recipients and their years of service included: Ryan Cook (5 years), Allysen Coleman (5 years), Joshua Coleman (5 years), Bethany Guinther (5 years), Liuyi Liu (5 years), Kayli McCullough (5 years), Tony Rose (5 years), Ann Shanda (5 years), Michael Striker (5 years), Leah Barger (10 years), Nathan Hill (10 years), Monica Johnson (10 years), Kimberly Makeever (10 years), Sarah Martin (10 years), Dave Tschanen (10 years), Jennifer Weber (10 years), Rick Deaver (20 years), Kevin Kimmel (20 years), Sean Maudsley (20 years), Valerie Richardson (20 years), Shari Shuck (20 years), Janet Corns (30 years) and Karen Kocher (30 years).
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff members that were honored during the district staff recognition dinner, especially those staff members who have retired from education,” said Superintendent Kevin Kimmel. “Their countless years of dedication to the students of the Bucyrus City Schools are greatly appreciated.”
