BUCYRUS — A shoplifting complaint at WalMart led to two arrests on multiple charges by Bucyrus Police on Friday night.

According to a Bucyrus Police report, officers responded to a shoplift complaint at WalMart at 6:01 p.m. Takiyah Wright, 22, and Caleb Bowersock, 23, were arrested in the 1800 block of E. Mansfield St. Wright was arrested on Crawford and Wyandot County warrants. Bowersock was arrested on a Wyandot County warrant.

Wright also is charged with resisting arresting and both face drug possession charges pending lab analysis. Both were taken to Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

Friday, Aug. 16

11:39 a.m. A report of a toddler unsupervised in the 1100 block of S. Walnut St. was investigated. Officers spoke to the child’s parents who advised the child escaped.

2:10 p.m. A report of a domestic problem in the 200 block of Crossroads Blvd was investigated.

2:18 p.m. A disturbance in the 100 block of River St was investigated.

2:34 p.m. A parking complaint on Hull Ave was investigated.

2:35 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 1100 block of E Mansfield St.

3 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 1700 block of Marion Rd.

3:42 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 200 block of N. Sandusky Av.

4:16 p.m. A parking complaint was made in the 200 block of Whetstone St.

4:24 p.m. A written warning was issued in the 200 block of E. Mary St.

6:40 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 300 block of N. Sandusky Av.

7:03 p.m. A seven-year-old boy was reported missing I the 800 block of E. Warren St. He was located by officers and returned to his guardian.

7:36 p.m. A parking complaint was made in the 600 block of S. Sandusky Av.

8:03 p.m. A syringe was picked in the area of Sandusky and Warren St. and disposed of.

8:06 p.m. Officers assisted Portsmouth Ambulance Service in the area of Washington Square.

8:08 p.m. Officers mediated a landlord tenant dispute in the 600 block of S. Walnut St.

8:15 p.m. A report was made of a vehicle being ransacked in the 800 block of Maple St.

8:34 p.m. A parking citation was issued in the 700 block of S. Walnut St.

8:39 p.m. A disturbance was investigated in the 600 block of S. Walnut St.

8:46 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 800 block of N. Sandusky Av.

8:50 p.m. A disturbance was investigated in the 1300 block of High Street.

8:56 p.m. An employee in the 300 block of E. Warren Street reported being assaulted by someone she knows.

9:19 p.m. Two suspicious people were investigated at the Dollar Tree.

9:23 p.m. A resident in the 600 block of S. Walnut Street reported his phone stolen from his residence.

9:33 p.m. A disturbance in the 300 block of Clinton Street was investigated.

9:38 p.m. A parking complaint in the 200 block of E. Galen Street was investigated.

10:03 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of N. Sandusky Avenue.

10:24 p.m. Officers assisted a subject in a wheelchair in the 300 block of E. Mansfield Street. He ran out of power and officers were able to assist him getting to his power supply.

10:29 p.m. Officers checked on a disturbance with an intoxicated man harassing a man and woman in the 100 block of W. Galen St. Clayton Russell, 27, was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication. He was issued a minor misdemeanor citation and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

10:38 p.m. A female was trespassed from Little Caesars after reportedly harassing customers and employees at the business.

10:59 p.m. A resident in the 1700 block of Marion Road reported being assaulted.

11:08 p.m. A disturbance in the 600 block of W. Mary was investigated.

11:12 p.m. Officers received a report about the temporary stop signs being knocked over in the area of Poplar and River Street.

11:22 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 1000 block of Tiffin St.

11:27 p.m. Officers conducted an escort for the Knights of Columbus.

11:39 p.m. Officers are investigating a reported assault in the alley off the 600 block of S. Sandusky Avenue.

11:49 p.m. An employee at the Crazy Fox reported an intoxicated male refusing to leave the business. He had left the area before officers arrived.

Saturday, Aug. 17

12:25 a.m. Officers assisted a Crawford County deputy in the area of N. Poplar St. and Mary St.

12:29 a.m. Officers assisted a State Trooper in City Lot #3.

1:16 a.m. Officers responded with EMS personnel to the Horseshoe Bar for an unknown medical emergency.

1:37 a.m. A parking citation was issued in City Lot #3.

1:56 a.m. An umpire requested officers reporting a softball team was “about to throw down” and preparing to fight at the overnight softball at Lions park. No fight transpired.

2:48 a.m. A report of people arguing in the 500 block of Failor St. was investigated.

2:55 a.m. Officers assisted a State Trooper in the area of Whetstone St. and Wheeler Ave.

3:52 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of N. Spring St.

2:20 p.m. Officers responded to a domestic violence complaint in and an 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were both arrested for domestic violence in the 1000 block of High St. Both are being held pending a court appearance.

3:06 p.m. Officers checked the report of a possible water break in the area of Whetstone and Plymouth St.

3:10 p.m. A 911 open line call was investigated in the 900 block of Whetstone St.

8:51 p.m. Officers are investigating an assault in the 200 block of E. Galen Street. An involved party is accused of breaking a car window and attempting to assault the man in the driver’s seat of the parked car. The man in the car reported defending himself and the other occupants, a woman and infant, of his car and the intoxicated man breaking the car window was transported by EMS to the hospital.

11:17 p.m. Officers responded to a dispute between vendors in the 300 block of S. Sandusky Ave.

11:38 p.m. A report of a fight in City Lot 3 turned out to just be 2 intoxicated subjects trying to hold each other up.

11:47 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of his vehicle in the alley off the 300 block of S. Sandusky Avenue.

Sunday, Aug. 18

12:03 a.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the 500 block of S. Poplar Street.

12:57 a.m. Officers attempted to check the welfare of a subject in the 600 block of N. Sandusky Avenue.

1:15 a.m. Officer put a temporary stop sign that had been knocked down in the area of S. Sandusky Ave. and Lucas St.

1:34 a.m. Officers spoke to a female at Dillinger’s about a domestic issue.

1:36 a.m. A report of a loud party in the area of Osman St. and Rogers St. was investigated.

1:46 a.m. Officers mediated a domestic issue in the 400 block of Heritage Circle.

2:03 a.m. Skyler Hoffman, 18, was arrested for theft, at Circle K, 405 N. Sandsuky Ave. He was issued a criminal summons and released with a court date.

2:32 a.m. A report of a male and female arguing in the Norton Way area was investigated.

2:37 a.m. Officers intervened with 2 males engaged in a fight in City Lot 3 near Washington Square. Jason Nelson, 36, and Glenn Pickens, 45, were arrested for disorderly conduct. Both were taken to the Crawford County Jail until sober. A third man, Dillon Cook, was cited for disorderly conduct.

6:03 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 700 block of Gay St.

6:58 a.m. Officers assisted EMS in the 400 block of W Mansfield St. at the scene of a non-fatal overdose.

7:36 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 200 block of E Beal Ave.

8:14 a.m. A Marion Rd resident reported vandalism to her vehicle.

8:15 a.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 300 block of E Charles St.

1:48 p.m. A bike that had been abandoned in the 500 block of S Highland Ave was brought to the station.

4:23 p.m. Steven Beckman,61, was arrested in the 700 block of Hopley on a probation violation after officer’s r responded to a report of a person trespassing at a residence.

4:51 p.m. A report of a missing seventeen-year-old was made in the 1700 block of Marion Rd. The child did return home a short time later.

5:01 p.m. A Cleland Av. resident reported receiving unwanted text messages.

5:17 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of Sandusky and Lucas.

6:38 p.m. A disturbance was investigated in the 70 block of Earl St.

7:14 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of Beverly and Wilbur St.

8:15 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the Waterford Glen area.

12:35 a.m. A report of a residence with an open door in the 400 block of E. Rensselaer St. was investigated.

1:31 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance in Failor St. area. It was a domestic argument and the male had left the area.

3:56 a.m. Traffic stop was made at E. Mansfield St. and Lane St. Joseph Bornstein, 41, was arrested for possession of marijuana.

5:12 a.m. A report of a tree down over the road on Wayne Ave. was investigated.

6:01 a.m. A W. Charles St. resident reported his vehicle entered into and a cell phone stolen.
