Drugs seized by Bucyrus police

Bucyrus police seized $10,000 in suspected drugs after a routine traffic stop on Friday night.

BUCYRUS -- A routine traffic stop by Bucyrus Police officer turned into a significant drug bust over the weekend.

According to Bucyrus Police, at approximately 10:13 p.m. on Friday night, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of E. Mansfield St. Officers seized suspected methamphetamine valued at approximately $10,000 and the motorist was placed in custody for felony possession of drugs pending a court appearance.

Friday, Nov. 15

7:07 a.m. Officers checked on a disabled motorist at Sandusky and Perry St.

7:42 a.m. A report of small children playing in the street at Lane and Mary was unfounded.

7:55 a.m. Officers took a report of a bicyclist running the red light at Sandusky and Mary St, and narrowly missing being hit by a semi-truck at approximately 2:30 a.m. this date.

8:37 a.m. A Whetstone St resident reported the muffler and other parts removed from his vehicle overnight.

8:53 a.m. Officers investigated a domestic dispute in the area of Bucyrus Plaza.

9:20 a.m. A report of a trespasser in the 1500 block of N Sandusky Ave was investigated. The accused was gone upon officer’s arrival.

9:49 a.m. Officers assisted with a residential lock out in the 400 block of W Mary St.

3:31 p.m. Officers assisted Crawford County Juvenile Court in the 500 block of Failor St. A juvenile on probation tampered with their house arrest monitor and was taken into custody and transported to detention in Seneca County.

4:01 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1700 block of Whetstone St.

4:26 p.m. A domestic situation was investigated in the 100 block of W Mansfield St.

4:40 p.m. Officers responded to a juvenile complaint in the 800 block of S Sandusky Ave.

5:19 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 1800 block of E Mansfield St.

9:35 p.m. Officers searched the 600 block of Hopley Ave for a reported speeder.

11:08 p.m. Officers responded with EMS personnel to the 200 block of Gaius Street for an unknown medical emergency.

11:27 p.m. One income tax summons was served at the Police Department.

11:55 p.m. Officers responded with EMS personnel to the 1700 block of Whetstone Street for an unknown medical emergency.

Saturday, Nov. 16

1:21 a.m. Officers responded to a domestic complaint in the 1100 block of E. Warren St. involving a reported intoxicated driver travelling with children. The involved vehicle was stopped and a traffic citation for Driving Under Suspension was issued in the area of Walnut and Hopley Avenue.

2:41 a.m. Officers assisted Ohio State Patrol and the State Liquor Control in the 100 block of Washington Square.

4:24 a.m. A resident in the 1900 block of Whetstone Street reported hearing someone in her house. No one was located and nothing appeared to be disturbed when officers checked the area.

9:47 a.m. A false alarm was received in the 400 block of Plymouth St.

11:29 a.m. Officers assisted with a funeral escort for Wise Funeral Service.

2:23 p.m. Officers investigated a report of vandalism by damage to a fence in the 600 block of E. Warren St.

3:16 p.m. Officers responded to an unknown medical alarm in the 1600 block of Marion Rd.

4:35 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 600 block of W Mansfield St.

5:59 p.m. Officers investigated a report of possible counterfeit money in the 1800 block of E Mansfield St.

9:29 p.m. A disturbance caused by a trespasser in the Waterford Glen area was investigated.

11:57 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of Hopley and Southern Avenue.

Sunday, Nov. 17

12:30 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a resident in the area of Waterford Glen about his dog barking excessively. The dog went inside for the night.

1:21 a.m. Officers responded with EMS personnel to a medical call in the 300 block of River Street.

2:01 a.m. A resident in the 1100 block of Teddy Avenue reported someone banging on her door and yelling. An intoxicated individual made it to his destination and his friends were keeping him inside.

2:36 a.m. A syringe found in the 400 block of N. Sandusky was picked by an officer for disposal.

6:05 a.m. A false alarm at Ehrhart’s Party Store was investigated.

8:21 a.m. A report of eggs thrown at a residence in the 500 block of Failor St. was investigated.

8:58 a.m. Officers investigated a disturbance involving a subject playing with a Halloween costume in the 500 block of E. Mansfield St.

10:15 a.m. Officers investigated a disturbance in the 200 block of W. Charles St.

11:05 a.m. A report of two men fighting in the Waterford Glen area was investigated. The subjects will be staying away from each other.

11:35 a.m. A report of a small child dialing 911 in the 500 block of E. Charles St. was investigated.

12:59 p.m. Officers checked the 800 block of S. East St. after a report of teenagers almost striking a car with a grocery cart in the area.

1:18 p.m. Officers checked the 1300 block of Orchard Lane for a sick raccoon. The animal was gone prior to officer’s arrival.

2:02 p.m. Officers checked the 1800 block of E. Mansfield for a girl who is reported missing from the county.

2:22 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the 700 block of High St. It was a verbal dispute.

3:09 p.m. Officers responded to a juvenile complaint in the 100 block of Kilbourne Dr.

3:44 p.m. An open door on a building was investigated in the 900 block of Woodlawn Ave.

4:26 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1600 block of Marion Rd. The motorist had driven in an area off the parking lot in error.

4:52 p.m. A runaway juvenile stopped on station. They were returned to their parents.

5:22 p.m. Officers took a report of stolen property in the 100 block of Heritage Circle.

5:37 p.m. Officers investigated a report of stolen holiday decorations in the 500 block of S Spring St.

6:09 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle was investigated in the 500 block of S Sandusky Ave. Subject was an employee.

6:47 p.m. Officers checked out a report of a reckless driver in the S Sandusky Ave and Beal Ave area.

6:52 p.m. Isaac Miller, 20, was arrested for shoplifting alcoholic beverage in the 1800 block of E Mansfield St. He was issued a summons to appear in court and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for bond.

7:48 p.m. Officers did a civil standby in the 1000 block of Lavina Ave.

7:49 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a disturbance between residents in the 1700 block of Whetstone St.

8:18 p.m. Officers responded to a report of trespassing in the 200 block of E Mary St. A patron was trespassed from Kroger.

8:35 p.m. Officers assisted Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputies attempting to locate missing juveniles in the 600 block of Lane St. The juveniles were located.

9:25 p.m. A verbal traffic warning for speed was issued in the 600 block of S Highland Ave.

11:09 p.m. A verbal domestic disturbance was investigated in the 1100 block of E. Warren Street.

11:14 p.m. Officers delivered a message to a resident in the 400 block of N. Walnut Street.

Monday, Nov. 18

12:09 a.m. Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff Office checking an alarm at Firelands Federal Credit Union.

3:08 a.m. Officers stood by for a civil property exchange in the 600 block of Plymouth Street.

3:19 a.m. Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle in the alley off the 700 block of Rogers Street. Subjects were unloading a vehicle at their residence.

3:21 a.m. Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of Sherman Street. It was a subject requesting a civil standby.
