BUCYRUS -- A credit card allegedly stolen from a vehicle trespass case led Bucyrus Police to arrest three people early Wednesday morning, one of them on a nationwide pickup warrant for drug charges.
According to a police report, officers investigated a complaint of misuse of a credit card at HyMiler, in the 600 block of South Sandusky Avenue. The card was reportedly stolen from a wallet during a vehicle trespass in the 900 block of Whetstone St.
Officers reportedly located three suspects near Hopley Avenue and Prospect Street at approximately 5:59 a.m. matching the description of those that tried to use the stolen card at HyMiler.
According to authorities, one subject tried flee, dropping the stolen credit card in the process. After a foot chase and resisting arrest, David A. Easterday, 32, of Bucyrus, was arrested for felony theft and resisting arrest. The others involved were also arrested. Nikita M. Herod, 30, of Bucyrus, for obstruction, complicity and tampering with evidence, and Brian C. Armstrong, 37, of Delaware, for a nationwide pickup warrant for drug charges.
All three were transported to Crawford County Jail awaiting court.

11:30 a.m. A Jump St resident reported their garage spray painted overnight.
12:31 p.m. A W Rensselaer St resident reported a theft of eyeglasses from her home.
1:36 p.m. A report of a domestic problem in the 600 block of S Walnut St was investigated.
2 p.m. A subject was charged with larceny of a stolen motor from a complaint 9/20/19 and they were served a summons to appear in court for arraignment Wednesday.
2:38 p.m. Officers investigated a possible OVI in the 200 block of W Mansfield St. The vehicle was parked but a driver could not be located at the time.
2:44 p.m. A private property accident was investigated in the Kroger parking lot. A silver Buick and black Jeep collided.
3:10 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the Arby’s parking lot.
3:40 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Marion Rd. and a warning was issued.
3:59 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 block of Lane St. and a warning was issued.
4 p.m. Officers investigated a 2-vehicle accident with injuries in the E Charles St and Walnut St area. Bucyrus Fire Department and Portsmouth EMS responded and one passenger was treated for minor injury. Both vehicles were towed and a citation was issued for driving left of center. The driver of a 2001 Taurus reported being unable to steer while turning and striking a 2017 Nissan Rogue.
5:34 p.m. Officers investigated a report of juveniles’ complaint in the 500 block of S Walnut St.
5:56 p.m. Officers attempted to deliver a message in the 1500 block of Marion Rd.
6:07 p.m. Officers responded to a dispute in the 600 block of W Mansfield St. It was a civil property dispute.
7:14 p.m. Officers took a report of theft in the 600 block of N Sandusky Ave. The incident actually happened in Mansfield and the complainant was referred to the Mansfield PD.
7:33 p.m. Officers investigated a disturbance in the 200 block of Woodlawn Ave.
7:37 p.m. A reported suspicious person was investigated in the 1000 block of Hull Ave. The subject was looking for a cat.
7:59 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the Washington Square area and a warning was issued.
8:09 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted in the S Sandusky Ave and Southern Ave area and a warning was issued.
8:46 p.m. Officers had a traffic stop in the City Lot 3 and a warning was issued.
8:52 p.m. Officers responded to a possible report of breaking and entering in the 200 block of Hopley Ave. The matter was unfounded.
9:06 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a speeding car in the Aumiller Park area. The vehicle was located and a subject was warned for manner of driving.
9:13 p.m. A juvenile complaint was investigated in the 400 N Sandusky Ave area.
9:26 p.m. A citizen was warned for jaywalking.
9:59 p.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 500 block of Sears St. It was a false alarm.
Wednesday, Sept. 25
12:16 a.m. A resident in the 1100 block of Hopley Ave. reported suspicious noises and officers made a security check.
1:45 a.m. Officers responded to a report of an unwelcome patron at a downtown establishment on Washington Square. The subject left without incident.
