BUCYRUS -- Nothing seems normal these days, so why should critters be any different?
Bucyrus Police note that a report was made Monday around 6:44 p.m. of nine bovines loose in the area of Irving and Earl Streets. The owner was located and corralled the animals.
A caller had advised of 9 to 11 cows loose outside a trailer in the area of Producers Stockyards, and that the driver was unaware that the cows were loose. A second call was received that seven of the cows were in the 400 block of East Irving Street.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol located the owner north of the patrol post and they secured the trailer and returned to the East Irving Street area. The cows had moved north on High Street from East Irving Street. The owner was able to return the cows into the trailer.

8:17 a.m. Officers spoke to an apartment manager in the 600 block of Wilbur St. regarding trespass issues involving subjects that had been evicted.
8:33 a.m. Employees at Taco Bell were advised by officers of wind damage to their sign.
12:36 p.m. Officers responded to a domestic violence complaint and A 15-year-old Bucyrus boy was arrested in the 200 block of E Charles St and charged with domestic violence. He was transported to Juvenile Court.
1:28 p.m. Officers are investigating a burglary in the 800 block of High St. A High St resident reported his home broken into and a TV stolen.
4:37 p.m. A 911 open line was investigated in the 500 block of S. Spring St. It was a misdial.
4:37 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the 900 block of Tiffin St.
5:07 p.m. Officers spoke with a subject regarding a hit-skip accident in the 500 block of South Poplar Street.
5:37 p.m. A 911 open line was investigated in the 500 block of South Spring Street. It was a misdial.
7:08 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued on West Mansfield St.
7:12 p.m. A report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle was taken in the 1300 block of Home Circle Drive. A complainant reported her car stolen by a subject she took in a week earlier. The car was located in Mansfield and the owner was notified.
7:19 p.m. A report of suspicious people possibly trespassing in the 200 block of Whetstone St. was taken.
8:39 p.m. Officers assisted Portsmouth Ambulance in the 200 block of Penn Av. at the scene of a natural death.
8:45 p.m. A report of a suspicious person was made in the 400 block of Heritage Cr. An unknown person knocked on the door and left and a security check was made.
9:40 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the 500 block of Gay St. It was reportedly a verbal dispute and the parties agreed to separate for the night.
9:44 p.m. A report of a child abuse was received and is under investigation.
10:34 p.m. A disturbance in the area of Bucyrus Plaza was investigated. Reportedly there was indecent exposure, however no incident of that was located.
11:36 p.m. A 9-1-1 hang up call was received in the 1700 block of Marion Road. It turned out to be an accidental dial from a child.
Tuesday, March 31
12:39 a.m. A 9-1-1 hang up call was investigated in the 1000 block of Wingert Street. No one was located in the area needing assistance.
12:49 a.m. Officers responded with Bucyrus Fire Department to the 200 block of Nauman Avenue regarding a structure fire.
6:49 a.m. A Clinton St. resident, reported a vehicle ransacked overnight, but no damage or theft.
